This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and protect your personal data in connection with the LP–GP Networking Event (the "Event") and this website (the "Site"), in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (the "GDPR") and the Croatian Act on the Implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation (Zakon o provedbi Opće uredbe o zaštiti podataka, Official Gazette No. 42/2018).

2. What data we collect

• Contact and professional details: name, job title, organisation, professional role (e.g. LP, GP, family office, institutional investor), email and, if provided, phone number.
• Invitation and registration details: information you submit when requesting an invitation or registering, including any message you choose to add.
• Ticket and payment details: if you buy a ticket, billing and transaction information. Card payments are handled by our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers.
• Event preferences: dietary or accessibility needs you share for attending.
• Technical data: IP address, browser and device information, and how you use the Site, collected via cookies (see Section 7).

3. Why we use your data and our legal basis

• To review invitation requests and manage attendance — our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) and steps taken at your request before entering a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)).
• To process tickets and manage your participation — performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)).
• To contact you about the Event, including logistics, updates and changes — contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) and/or our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)).
• To tell you about future editions of the Event — your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) or our legitimate interests; you can opt out at any time.
• To meet our legal, accounting and tax obligations — legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)).
• To operate, secure and improve the Site — our legitimate interests and, for non-essential cookies, your consent.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We may share it with service providers acting on our behalf (for example hosting, event management, email delivery and payment processing) under data processing agreements; with event partners or sponsors only where you consent or where necessary for your participation; and with authorities where required by law.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your personal data only for as long as necessary: invitation and registration data for the Event cycle and up to 24 months afterwards; ticket and transaction records for the period required by applicable tax law; and marketing contact data until you unsubscribe. We then securely delete or anonymise it.

6. Your rights

You have the right to access your personal data, correct it, request its deletion, restrict or object to processing, request portability, and — where we rely on your consent — withdraw that consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email info@cvca.hr; we will respond within one month. You may also lodge a complaint with the Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency (AZOP), Selska cesta 136, 10000 Zagreb, Croatia (azop.hr).

7. Cookies

The Site uses strictly necessary cookies to operate. With your consent, we may also use analytics cookies to understand and improve how the Site is used. You can manage or withdraw your consent through your browser settings at any time.

8. Data security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or alteration.

9. Children

The Event and Site are intended for professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.

10. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows the latest version.
